When shall I build my swimming pool?
Construction of a swimming pool can be started at any time. If the land movements are finished in time to allow the stabilisation of the soils (winter), the exterior finishing like gardens, patios, etc, may be finalised in the spring. In this way you will start enjoying your swimming pool at the beginning of the summer!

Is the maintenance of a swimming pool very expensive?
The cost of maintenance varies with the dimension of the swimming pool. Opposite to the popular concept that the largest costs are the energy used by the pump, the truth is that the chemical products are the largest part of the overall costs. We can give you estimates of the annual consumable costs of the swimming pool as well as advise in reducing these.

The more powerful the pump the better the swimming pool works?
Each swimming pool we build or refurbish is subject to a study in which we consider the parameters for best functioning (in proportion to the dimensions of the pool and its setting). Choosing of the pump and other equipment has an ideal balance. Increasing the power of the pump outside of these parameters will destabilise this balance as well as generate unnecessary additional costs.

Is cleaning the swimming pool and controlling the chemicals complicated?
These are simple tasks which understood become a regular routine. After completing the swimming pool build we give the owner a comprehensive instruction manual in which all the tasks are described accompanied by schemes and images. We also give practical on the spot training to check that the owner understands all the steps in the manual. I don’t have a large energy supply available. Is it possible to supply the swimming pool pump using solar energy?
We have available two solutions for these situations:  pumps that are connected directly to solar panels (only function when there is enough light) and batteries that store energy from solar panels which are then available for the supply of the pump.

I have a water supply that has a high level of iron. Can I use it to fill the swimming pool?
When the water supply has “unusual” characteristics, an analysis should be obtained and a water treatment system considered. This applies not only for pools but also for other usage. More information is available in the water treatment section.

Do I need structural alterations to install a spa?
For an installation of a spa (with the exception of the overflow type) you only need a level floor, water from a hose and an electric supply.

Are there real health benefits in using a spa?

Is it true that there are several kinds of saunas?
Saunas are rooms in which heat is produced and used for therapeutic and social reasons. A sauna can be of Moist heat (known as Turkish baths or Steam baths, which release steam to create moist and heat) with temperatures ranging 35-55 degrees Celsius, or of Dry heat ( that normally heat specific type of stones in order to provide a dry heat) with temperatures ranging 80-100 degrees Celsius.

Are there saunas where wood is the heat source?
NIn Dry saunas the source heating the sauna stones (Ignea Dolorita Stones) can be provided by an electric heater or by a wood sauna oven with a smoke extractor. In this last option (being the original method) a more natural experience is enjoyed. Consult our saunas section for more information.
